Creating computer groups
Comply automatically targets platform and architecture; however, if you need to run benchmarks or push deployments against endpoints with a specific operating system or on a specific subnet, you can use computer groups. Define computer groups in the Administration section of Tanium Console. For more information, see Tanium Platform User Guide: Managing Computer Groups.
The following examples show computer groups for operating systems created by selecting the appropriate query suggested by the Tanium language parser:
Operating System | Query |
---|---|
Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 | Operating System contains “Windows Server 2012 R2” |
CentOS Linux 6.3 | Operating System contains “CentOS release 6.3 Final” |
Mac OS X El Capitan 10.11 | Operating System contains “Mac OS X 10.11.” |
